JANSI is "Japanese+ANSI" which is a type of ANSI "Big 5 encoding" that allows for Japanese characters, and therefore more elaborate designs of ANSI due to the extended character set.
ANSIArt.org offers a Web Editor for creating JANSI artwork for the site. The site includes tutorials downloadable tools and other helpful art links.
