Nirvana is a MUD of the LPmud variety, with large portions of the orginal village intact and featuring an open theme. Many of the players and wizards (developers) have a long term investment in Nirvana and care about it.
Nirvana has been in continuous operation since 26 February 1991, and is located at: telnet://nirvana.mudservices.com:3500.
Nirvana features:
- a heavily modified 2.44 mudlib on
- a 3.1.02-DR driver
- active player base of over 1000
- an average of 25 to 30 people logged in at a time
Players are allowed as many characters as they wish, as long as they do not interact. Furthermore, only one character be logged in at a time. Player killing is limited to those who wish to do so, and players must specifically choose to set their character's PK status. There are certain areas of the game where other players are fair game.
