Tintin, TintinIII (which became today's version Tintin++) was a MUD client originally developed in the early 1990s to allow flexible use of a MUD with the ability to store macros and trigger those macros with commands.

According to the documentation for Tintin++, "TinTin++ is a client program specialized to help playing muds. This is a souped up version of TINTIN III with many new features."

Peter Unold was the author of TINTIN III, and it project is now controlled by Igor van der Hoven, known as "scandum" on MUD-related forums.
